The Scientific Documentation & Education department is in charge of the management and daily up-date of Concepto Azul database. To date, Concepto Azul’s library counts with more than 40 000 scientific publications on various scientific themes ranging from aquaculture biotechnology, environmental science to agro-forestry.

Its principal activities are:

• Conceive, plan and undertake training programs: post university training in collaboration with academic institutions, professional training, workshops, courses and internships. Training programs are conceived and adapted on a case by case basis in order to fit with the particular needs of the private sectors, public institutions and local communities.
• Engineering and management of databases to promote the traceability of scientific data and facilitate decision making in projects related to prevention, pathogen control and genetic improvement.
