Promote social rehabilitation programs for detainees through technology transfer and scientific knowledge sharing.

Specific Objectives:

• Develop training programs in the field of biology and aquaculture in the Social Rehabilitation centre of Guayaquil (SRCG)
• Promote the development of socio-educative infrastructures for the use of biotechnologies in aquaculture and agriculture at the Social Rehabilitation Centre of Guayaquil.
• Organize workshops, seminars and conferences for a continued sharing of the latest available scientific information among program participants.

General Objective:

Promote scientific investigation and in particular, the development of biotechnologies applied to human health, agriculture, agro-forestry and environmental concerns.

Specific Objectives:

• Promote education and scientific investigation, in particular in the field of molecular biology applied to biodiversity conservation.
• Promote training programs pré or post university, continuing training, workshops, seminaries in relation to modern biotechnologies
• Promote technical, scientific and academic collaborations with public and private sectors, in Ecuador and overseas for the development of research and scientific knowledge related to biotechnologies.
• Promote and supervise the realisation of thesis by students, young professionals in the field of biotechnologies and its applications to economic and social development.
• Promote the development of research and education programs in biotechnologies.

General Objective:

Promote the cooperation for investigation and conservation of Galapagos ecosystems through training and research.

Specific Objectives:

• Promote programs of fundamental and applied research for the conservation of endangered species, flora y fauna of the Galapagos archipelago
• Foster scientific and technical knowledge through the organisation of events courses, conferences and seminars and, in particular, continuous updates as regard to new advances from pending researches
• Maintain and promote means of coordination and information to help the diffusion and access to information, exchange of in formations and enable peer reviewing
• Diffusion and publication of scientific knowledge

Promote investigation and education in different fields of biotechnology through the training of future professionals confident with the use of modern technologies and their application to social and economical development in Ecuador

Specific Objectives:

• Reinforce the collaboration between the University of Guayaquil and Concepto Azul through research programs with a special focus on modern biotechnologies
• Develop training programs in biotechnologies for pre or post-universitary studies as well as training programs for professionals in activity
• Guaranty the academical, technical and economical sustainability of the Biotechnology Program with Guayaquil University (and its extension in Galapagos)

General Objective:

Promote social aquaculture programs in the most underprivileged areas of Guayaquil through the construction of an educational centre dedicated to biology and culture of native species living in the estuary of Guayaquil.

Specific Objectives:

• Develop formation programs designed for every classes of age, covering various themes related to sustainable aquaculture (pathology prevention, immunology, and genetics in particular).
• Raising awareness and share knowledge related to mangrove conservation.

Promote the training, the development and transfer of technologies applied to Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp culture though the use of molecular biology tools in applied microbiology, pathology and immunology and genetic selection.
